Coach Tim Ferguson is a Philadelphia native who has a deep history with the game of basketball. In his younger years while attending school in Philly, he began developing a love for the sport and started playing for George Washington High School. Shortly thereafter, his family relocated to Mt. Holly, NJ and although he faced many challenges during his transition, Tim was determined to finish where he had left off. He began playing for Rancocas Valley Regional High School where they went on to become State Champions in back to back seasons ('98 & '99) and also became a 1,000+ pts. scorer during his high school years. In addition to those accomplishments, he was a McDonald's High School All American nominee and selected to South Jersey All Star team and 1st All South Jersey team. During his college years he played for Delaware State University (Delaware) and Des Moines Area Community College (Iowa), ultimately improving his overall skill set and knowledge of the game of basketball tremendously.
Aside from playing, Tim has coached on many different levels of basketball including AAU, Boys Travel, and Recreational Leagues giving him the advantage of being able to familiarize and coach kids of different skill sets no matter what level they're on. Tim also is a basketball trainer who provides personal training sessions and team developmental training sessions year round. Because he has such a great love for the game and always wanting to become more knowledgeable about the sport, he became a certified referee and currently officiates high school games. His commitment to the sport of basketball has made him one of the most influential coaches, mentors and trainers in the Central/South Jersey area.
In search of a quality basketball program to assist with the development of his up and coming 11 year old son (like the many that helped him develop a love for sports and academics), lead Coach Tim to join the BC Hoops Basketball organization in the Fall of 2017.
Please help us welcome the newest member of the BC Hoops Basketball family... Coach Tim Ferguson!!!
